From Left to Right:

Garnier Soothing Facial Mist made with Rose Water. I love using this as part of my morning skin care routine. The smell is beautiful and light. I also might use this at night before I go to bed too. Or just throughout the day, for a refreshing pick me up. I adore facial mists and I think this product comes in Aloe and Green Tea. *Pro Tip- if you are someone who deals with anxiety facial mists, can be a life saver. I keep a travel sized Evian spray in my bag at all times, or just a small spray bottle with some water in it, in case I need a little spritz to calm the nerves. It helps a lot.

Rose Quartz Crystal– Love, Peace, Harmony, Forgiveness, the stone for the hopeless romantic. So totally me. ūüėČ I use this during my morning meditation at times.

C.O. Bigelow Rose Salve– this is an all purpose product. It can be used for face, lips, cuticles, elbows, and knees. I use it as a lip balm, I really love how easy it glides on. And the smell is like a rose, coco butter mix. It’s lovely. It doesn’t really give any color, but does give a nice little shine. It’s not overly greasy or sticky, like some lip products tend to be.

Sundrenched Blooms Bath & Body Works White Barn Candle– Soy Candle made with essential oils. This scent is a mix of Tiare Flower, Banana Leaf, and Vanilla. I don’t typically like Vanilla scented things, but this one is mild. This smells lovely and I prefer soy candles or any of Bath and Body Works Candles made with essential oils because they are just lighter and are less prone to cause headaches for me. I just hear they are better to burn in your homes than regular candles.

Jo Malone Peony & Blush Suede Cologne– I was gifted this as part of my Bridesmaid bag for my best friend’s wedding back in the Summer. And I fell in love with it! I was wearing it everyday and then eventually I finished it pretty quick. I would love to repurchase, put I know it can be pretty expensive. The scent is this beautiful mix of “Peonies in voluptuous bloom, flirtatious with the juicy bite of red apple and the opulence of jasmine, rose and gillyflower. Mingling with the sensuality of soft, blush suede.” Gorgeous!

Chapstick Total Hydration Moisture & Tint– Rose Petal. I love this product so much. I have put on chapstick before applying lip stick/lip products for years. So the fact that this one is a little duo in one, is super convenient. It’s great for hydrating your lips and adding a little color. The Rose Petal is just the perfect pinky shade to compliment a natural lip color. Sometimes I layer this and the Rose Salve over top. It’s easy wear, and when it fades it isn’t super noticeable or complicated with needing to be reapplied.

The Bonnie Brae -Rosehips & Jasmine Perfume Oil (Roll on)- I use this during meditation too, I will rub a little on my wrists. I purchased this on a shopping trip to the outlets. There was a cute little stand selling homemade candles, oils and such. And this combination of Rosehips and Jasmine just smelt so beautiful, I had to pick one up. It’s a very soothing scent.

I was never one for overly floral scents. I was never a big fan of the rose scent either. But lately I have gravitated toward floral undertones and Rose flavored/scented things. I even got into Rose flavored tea. It is delicious! Iced/Hot. It’s all good! And I guess with Valentine’s Day just passing, the inspiration for this Rose/Floral related post just came to be.

What products are you loving this winter?

December Favorites

Hey friends,

I know it has been a bit since I last posted. And quite frankly I should have known better than to expect that I could actually hop right back into my usual two week posting schedule after blogging for the entire month of October and then working on my first ever NaNoWriMo project all throughout November. See more on this HERE.

Don’t get me wrong, I definitely miss blogging! But since NaNo wrapped I kind of just threw myself into holiday mode with the determination to actually get things done earlier this year and not have to rush all over on December 23rd.. I have to say, of course there were some hiccups and there are a few last minute things to take care of this weekend, but for the most part I did pretty good. And just in case you were wondering, I was able to cross quite a few of my Winter Bucket List items off my list!¬†

Normally around this time I would have posted way more holiday related content. And I can’t believe I haven’t yet. Christmas Eve is literally only 2 days away! I haven’t even started to plan out my 2019 goals yet either! And my full experience with #NaNoWriMo has yet to be written. I’ve gotten ahead of some things, but remain behind on others! You know what they say, life happens! Lol.

So I thought that for today’s random Saturday post that I could maybe do a little bit of a December Favorites. Show you some things I’ve been loving this December. This is such a festive time, and there are so many things I am loving lately.¬†

Favorite scent

IMG_20181205_111739_793

My best friend was burning this in her house when I visited her and I fell in love with the scent from Bath & Body Works. I had ordered this mini one and burned it so quickly, that I just had to go out and buy the big size. It smells like a Christmas tree and it is perfect for anyone who has a fake tree, and misses that pine scent. I know I love it! And it’s made with essential oils so the scent is just so crisp and clean.¬†

Favorite treats

Every holiday season Entenmann’s has it’s holiday gourmet cookies with the chocolate coated bottoms and sprinkled pop’ems. So anytime I see them, I have to pick them up, because they are my favorites!¬†

Yes I was drinking tea in my new Christmas camper mug, eating my festive cookies, while watching a Lifetime Christmas movie. #LOVE

So there you have it, my December Favorites!

My best friend recently got married this Summer. So each of the bridesmaids created a seasonal themed basket for her Bridal Shower. I chose Fall, because the feels and obsession is real. I love the cozy fall vibes and colors. And knowing the color scheme for her new place, I really tried to tie all that into the pieces I purchased for her basket.

What I Got For My Birthday- Birthday Haul

My best friend is going to be treating me to a brunch and she also bought me this beautiful Portuguese candle. I am part Portuguese so this was super interesting to me and it smells beautiful too- the scent is Rose, Cassis, and Redberries!

IMG_1238

Yes I know, the date is wrong, I can’t bother to fix it. #IDontKnowHow

I love the gold and pink detail. And can we just talk about that peacock patterned packaging? Gorgeous!

IMG_1245

My other best friend bought me some of my favorite things, I love scarves, I love jewelry, I love bath and body works.

IMG_1240

This Cucumber Melon scent makes me feel like I’m a tween again!

My brother and sister in law got me a nutra ninja, which is what I really wanted most. I can’t wait to start making smoothies! I was also told that my brother did the shopping this year, since my sister in law was feeling under the weather, and I have to say I think he did good on his own.

20170326_211233

That Golden Girls shirt though. Mind you we didn’t even know what Golden Birthday was until after I opened my gift and then the shirt’s awesomeness was just elevated even more. It’s perfect because I’m a grandma at heart, such an old soul. Haha. Thank you for being a friend. Stay Golden! ūüėČ

I’ve been wanting a new fake leather jacket, so my parents got me one.

IMG_1254

My goddaughter, her baby brother and my cousins surprised me with a brownie cake and a new natural life water bottle.  These are really good and I use one for work everyday so this is perfect. And seriously how cute is that pattern and that motivational message! Such a Michelle bottle.

Delicious!

One of my Aunts bought me a fit board. I mentioned wanting one so long ago, but couldn’t bring myself to spend the money. I can’t believe she remembered! It’s fun too! Feels like I’m surfing! #WipeOut Haha.

IMG_1250

A few of my Aunts also gave me cards with money too, so the wheels are already turning with ideas on what I can buy with it. I’m kind of dying to just go full on splurge at my favorite drugstores and get all the makeup and nail polish I want! Haha.

Drugstore Haul?

This also happened on my birthday! And being that I am a total TV junkie and a romantic at heart, it made¬†my birthday all the more¬†sweeter! When Calls The Heart has become one of my new favorite shows…HE FINALLY ASKED! #JackAndElizabeth #WhenCallsTheHeart #Hearties #HeartiesLetsParty

I am so excited and appreciative of everything. I have already put some things to use! I’m one lucky girl to have people who celebrate with me each year! xoxo

Summer 2016 Favorites

collage

Accessories:

Simple Jewelrythin rings, thin necklace.

*In this heat, too much chunky¬†jewelry is too much to handle. I’ve sort of found my everyday simplicity and I’ve really liked wearing it.

Tan Strapped Sandals

*I practically wear these things every day! They are so comfortable and the color goes with everything. And the marshmallow white bottom gives me 90’s fashion vibes.

Mirrored Sunglasses

*I love a good funky colored shade any day, but when I came across the clear frame and the mirrored lens I fell in love with the sleekness of them. These really do go with everything and they are understated which seems to be my summer trend this year.

Beauty:

Tess Christine inspired makeup

*Tess Christine is one of my favorite YouTubers. And I love her style so much. This look has inspired my recent everyday makeup. With her tips, I’ve crafted a simple, bronzed, nude look that I really love.

REVLON Ultra HD Matte Lip color

*This color is the perfect blush nude, and I love the matte texture. It wears pretty long too. And I got it on sale in CVS for $6.99…BONUS!

Messy Bun Hairstyles

*I cut my hair pretty short earlier in the Summer, so I’ve been trying new hairstyles that will accommodate a shorter do. I’ve utilized the mini pigtail buns often throughout this Summer. It’s a bit funky at first but I’ve grown to like it and it’s pretty quick to style. Which is also a huge plus!

Sea Island Cotton Body Spray -Bath & Body works

*This has been my favorite body spray for quite a few years, but I haven’t been using it for quite a few months. I finished it and then had to resort to another scent, because I just hadn’t been to a mall to pick up a new bottle. I’m very picky when it comes to scents. If it’s too strong it will give me a headache or bring on a slight anxiety. For that reason I don’t wear perfume- just body spray. But recently I made the mall trip and I caught a 3 bottle sale. It’s such a beautiful linen, light, airy, slightly floral, clean, crisp scent. I adore it.¬†

Tips to Beat the Heat:

Travel water bottle

*This one is so cute holds a really good amount of water. And it as a straw spout which I prefer.

Portable Fan Necklace

*This has been a lifesaver this summer, during these heat waves. It hangs on my neck and blows air up at me. Hands free, does the trick!

Spray Bottle

*I’ve seen so many of those hydrating sprays, but they are always so expensive, so instead I just put some water into a spray bottle and I carry it in my purse or work bag and if I feel like I need to cool down a bot, I’ll spritz my wrists or my neck/chest, and face. You can also bop this into the freezer to chill it a bit.

Entertainment:

TV Show-

American Gothic

*This is a 13 part murder mystery on CBS and it has got me hooked. And it doesn’t hurt that my girl Bethany Joy Lenz has just gotten on board for a few episodes. Check it out…you won’t regret it! SO GOOD!

Song-

‚ÄúCan‚Äôt Stop The Feeling‚ÄĚ ‚Äď Justin Timberlake

‚ÄúMake Me‚ÄĚ ‚Äď Britney Spears

*Pop royalty is back! Enough said. These two songs have been my summer anthems.

Other:

Sunflowers

*Sunflowers are my favorite flower and this Summer I have seen so many beautiful ones.

Iced hot chocolate

*This started with the dunkin donuts frozen hot chocolate, but then I’ve ordered iced hot chocolate in a restaurant and I fell in love with it. So naturally I started making it at home. I basically just make a cup on instant hot cocoa (with milk-not water) microwave the cup for just a bit to allow easier to mix and then pour over ice, chill in freezer and viola! SO delicious.
