I bought all of my fall goodies at Christmas Tree Shop, and they were all fairly inexpensive. 

The T-shirt, I purchased from Target. ($14.99-$16.99)

Hand Soaps were (3 for $2) – I got fall scents: Mulled Cider, Pumpkin Spice, & Fig and Brown Sugar

Treats:

Dark Chocolate Pumpkin Biscotti- I bought these a year or two ago and I just loved them, so I had to repurchase. ($2.99)

Pumpkin Spice Werther’s Original Soft Caramels ($1)

Fall Teas:

Bigelow Salted Caramel ($2.49)

Red Rose Caramel Apple Pie ($2.49)

Blue festive mug with sunflowers “Crisp air and crunchy leaves” ($4.99) I have way too many mugs and I had to put this one back. But my aunt was really sweet and got it for me anyway, because she knew how much I wanted it! LOL.

Décor:

Cupcake Papers [mini & large] ($1 each)

Two packs of beautiful leaves in various fall golden colors. Gorgeous! (Each $1.99)

Hello Fall Napkins- ($1.99) we use these hand towels for our restroom, and its so hard to find the long decorative napkins for each season/holiday, so this was a steal!

Fall Nail Polish Collection

Along with lip colors getting darker during the Fall season, so do nail colors! Below I have some swatches of some of the colors in my collection, that I think would be perfect for Fall. I know it may be hard to see the color, so I took some pics of the bottles and I described the colors as best I can. I know some purples look blue and some greens look silver. :/ Sorry about that! Also, I separated them by Brand.

I really love the berry tones, I feel like I always reach for Essie’s “Wicked.” But I also think that greens, browns, blues, golds and neutral tones can also work. And sometimes just good old plain black can be really sleek and chic.

Living my best Fall life…

I’ve been getting into the Fall spirit and it’s felt really good. In a world that moves so fast, it’s nice to stop and enjoy the little things every once in a while. The holiday season is rapidly approaching and when that happens, I feel like it flashes by and I barely get to enjoy it. I’m the type of person who loves to decorate, to dress up, to be festive and do all the festive things that come with the holidays. And because there are so many things going on in my family right now, and daily responsibilities I have like we all do, the holiday spirit can certainly take a back seat. But as this Fall roles on, I’ve been trying to do little things here and there to keep my spirit in check like lighting my fall scented candle every night, and drinking some apple cider here and there. I recently ordered Halloweentown and Halloweentown II on dvd too! So I will be mapping out some movie time soon! 

Pumpkin Picking is a huge deal for me and my family, we usually all try and get together and go with all the cousins and their little kids. It’s a blast! But this year it was a bit difficult to schedule. However, I did get to go this past weekend, with two of my favorite ladies; my Aunt and my Mom. It all kind of just worked out really nicely and we ended up finding this really cute little place. I got to get some cute pumpkins and some other goodies!

I bought Apple Cider, Red Raspberry Jam, Apple Cider Donuts, and Blueberry Pie. And we picked some big, medium, and mini pumpkins along with some peppers and eggplants! My fall spirit was beaming! 😀

I know often times we all make bucket lists and rarely get to do everything we want to. However, if I can have at least one perfect Fall day this year, I will consider myself a very happy girl! Now time to just put my plans into action. 😀

Everything’s Coming Up Pumpkin

Who’s excited for Fall??? I know I am! It is my favorite time of year. With the first day of Fall coming up tomorrow, I decided to survey some of the many things that have been sprinkled with pumpkin flavor. These are the items I feel- I’d be most likely to actually try, because let’s be serious some things just should not be pumpkin flavored- ie: gum, cough drops, Listerine. But these following products all look delicious and I would certainly try them!

I hop on that pumpkin spice bandwagon every fall. However, not every pumpkin flavored treat is as delicious as I hope. Sometimes the spice is just too much for me. For example, I love the pumpkin spiced latte from Starbucks or Dunkin’ Donuts, but I don’t love the Celestial’s Sweet Harvest Pumpkin tea. However, I used to hate pumpkin pie and now I think it’s delicious. I guess people’s taste buds change as they get older! I’m hoping to try some of these or try some other new pumpkin flavored treats this fall- whatever I can find! And if I do, I will be sure to post a little fall haul and give you guys a bit of a review on the sweets I do try.

What’s In My Purse?-Pumpkin Picking Edition

As you may have read in my Monday post, I went pumpkin picking with my family this past weekend. Read my FALL HAUL.

I was switching over my purse to my work bag, when I realized how much crap I actually carried with me on that day. And it sparked an idea for a what’s in my purse post.

Let’s start with the bag itself- I went with my good, old, trusty, no name brand, big, cross body, sack bag. It’s a neutral brown which goes with a lot and it fits a ton of stuff.

Now for the contents….a.k.a my whole life #BraceYourselves it’s a lot of stuff!

From Left to Right:

Digital Camera– because sometimes cell phones suck!

Cellphone– because duh?

Alcohol wipes– because you never know if you get a cut and need to clean it out.

Toilet Seat covers To Go– because I knew I was going to be dealing with porta potties. #EW

Cleansing wipes– because again…porta potties.

Hand Sanitizer– because there was a petting zoo-Lol. #AndImAGermaphobe

Tissues– for the fall sniffles.

Wallet-because moneyyyy.

Eye glasses– because sometimes I need them.

Mints, toothpicks, and gum– because they are always good to carry. #KeepingItFresh #KeepingMeSane

House keys– because duh? 😉

Oil blotting sheets– shout out to my oily skin girls! #IFeelYourPain #TheStruggleIsReal

A Hair Tie– because sometimes fall weather gets confused.

A Water Bottle– because long drives, and lots of walking.

Spray Bottle– just in case you need a little spritz and refresher.

Bag of lollipops, sour balls, jolly ranchers, cough drops– because of the fall throat tickles/car rides #PeopleGetCarSick

Granola Bars– because it was a long day, and if I needed a boost I was prepared.

Lipstick, chapstick, a mirror– because girly junk #cute 😉

Pads/Liners– because girl, you should always be prepared.

Tea bag holder– because yes, I travel with my own tea.

Pepto Bismol, Tylenol, Tums– because I’m a pharmacy. (I actually helped a cousin who had a headache, see my neuroticness pays off.) 😉

A notepad & pen– because I’m a writer.

Band-Aids– because you ever know.

Lotion– because everyone loves moisturized hands. Haha.

Headphones– because music.

Sunglasses– because sun beams are still kicking.

2015 Fall Fashion Inspiration

Fall is literally right around the corner. And I’m going to be extremely common for just a second when I tell you this is my favorite time of year. My favorite things about fall are the crisp air (even if you wouldn’t know it because it’s still hot in NYC. I can feel the weather wanting to change.) I love the darker colors. I can wear black, and not bake in the heat. I love the promise of fun filled holidays and fun events. And last but not least I do love me some pumpkin flavored stuff. I’m not a fanatic about it, but I do think it’s a fall staple. So let’s get down to business here, shall we?

Birkenstocks with socks…

I normally cringe at the idea of wearing socks with sandals. However, I bought a pair of knock off Birkenstocks this summer and I feel like I only wore them a few times. So I would like to continue to wear them through the fall. In fact the styling of the fall look is super cute. I can’t wait to give it a try.

Scarves are my stable for the fall. I have one for every outfit. And they are just a really simple way to add some fashion sense to your outfits, and keep you warm at the same time.

I love the look of these hats and seeing as how it’s often too hot for me to function in the summer for me to leave hats on for too long, fall is much more suitable to rock these. I gotta get one!

The tulle/ballerina tutu skirt, I have always been in awe of the Carrie Bradshaw fashion. She manages to pull off the most bizarre things. And these skirts are so beautiful to me, getting a nice black one and pairing it with some nice pumps for a night out would be gorgeous!

Tori Kelly Curls…

Oh my god I am OBSESSED with this girl, with her voice, and her laidback fashion. BUT her hair is in a league of it’s own and I have been trying to replicate it, but I think I need a crimper. It’s just not big enough. For this look; the bigger the hair the better.

Laidback dance rehearsal style outfits…

I’m not gonna lie, I have an obsession with dancer wardrobe. When Bethany Mota was on Dancing With The Stars two seasons ago, I would always love her rehearsal outfits. She always looked so cool and comfortable, but still really cute. Same goes for Jenna Dewan’s character in Step Up. I was always so in love with her outfits. In fact I’m a big fan of leg warmers, and I wear them a lot. The only ingredient missing is…I wish I was a dancer. I mean I love to dance and used to be in dance class as a kid, that counts, right?
