Bethany Joy Lenz is someone who I really feel inspired by. I fell in love with her as “Haley James Scott” on “One Tree Hill.”

I became swept away by the love she shared with her on screen husband “Danny Santos” on veteran soap opera “Guiding Light” where she played a fiery “Michelle Santos.”

Was enchanted by her vocal range and ability to make the world seem a little lighter, a little brighter and just a touch more emotional.

Adored her sense of style and followed her Wardrobe Wednesday Blog Posts.

Seriously miss those posts!

And last but not least became intrigued by her singer songwriter meets writer qualities as she began an online rotating novel entitled “Diamond Gothic.” 

Still no word on if she plans to continue that! I’m still waiting for a new chapter!

After Joy’s “One Tree Hill” journey ended over a year ago, I had really missed my Joy fix. But upon her newest role on “Dexter” playing the character “Cassie” whom, from what I hear through the grapevine is gearing up to be a new love interest for “Dexter,” Joy decided to release a new single…a song entitled…

“Please”… off her upcoming album “Bette.”

I have to say that when I first heard this I was both heartbroken and inspired. These lyrics are so beautiful, so powerful, so sad. I hate to dive into her personal life, because I know she’s a rather personal person…

But I can’t help but make a connection to her recent divorce from previous husband; Michael Galeotti (Enation; Piano), whom she had daughter Maria with.

The concept of someone needing to hear that their significant other needs them. Sometimes that reassurance must be met. Its that whole “ask me to stay” situation. Don’t let me leave, because if you do that means maybe I’m not worth fighting for.

After everything two people have been through doesn’t a woman deserve for a man to just tell her the truth, call out to her and learn to stop taking advantage. Its not about telling them they need to show you how they feel it’s about wishing they’d do it without you mentioning it.

I guess that’s a common girl mentality.

But regardless of the meaning behind the lyrics Bethany and her music are a force to be reckoned with and I for one cannot be happier that she’s releasing new music!

I had a funky idea to put real life faces to the Disney Princesses we have all grown up to love…

Ariel from “The Little Mermaid” and Pocahontas were always two of my favorite princesses, so let’s start with them!

Cinderella: Brittany Snow (Actress; Musical Singer)

Snow White: Katy Perry (Singer)

Aurora; “Sleeping Beauty”: Blake Lively (Actress)

Jasmine; “Aladdin”: Sofia Vergara (Actress)

   Belle; “Beauty and the Beast”: Anne Hathaway

Some of these actresses and singers were actually handpicked by many other people who thought they would make good real life princesses. It’s crazy the things you find on Google! I’m over here thinking the fact that Anne Hathaway looks like Belle is the most miraculous discovery along with the rest, and then I Google it and it’s like a known fact, haha! Well… still just did this for fun!

So I haven’t done a fashion post in quite some time, and as my poetry mind is lacking inspiration for the moment,

I thought it might be a nice change of pace.

This week’s Wardrobe Wednesday is dedicated to a woman who makes simple pieces look glamorous,

that’s right I’m talking about the impeccable and most natural beauty: Sophia Bush.

The girl is truly breathtaking and sweet as pie, I know for sure, I’ve met her!

Sophia Bush; best known for her role as peppy meets angsty “Brooke Davis” on the CW’s One Tree Hill, even made her stride as a director, while acting and directing several episodes of the hit tv show. Over the years Sophia’s been in blockbuster hits like “Stay Alive,” “John Tucker Must Die” and “The Hitcher.”  Sophia is also quite the busy bee philanthropist, a woman who is bold yet classy in her efforts to change the world. Her most recent contributions include building schools for less fortunate countries with the organization “Pencils of Promise.”

Another Trend I’ve noticed Sophia taking part in often is the Black, White & Red color combo…take a look!

Sophia’s Black White & Red look is always well placed and well put together… She carefully chooses which staple item to make that bold red… whether it’s a purse, or a leather jacket, or a shoe…it’s always fashion friendly…and she isn’t afraid to sport some red lips either!
